If you’re living with persistent or recurring knee pain, stiffness or arthritis, this free educational workshop will help you better understand what may be contributing to your symptoms and the options available to you.
Perhaps walking has become uncomfortable. Stairs are harder than they used to be. Your knee feels stiff after you’ve been sitting for a while, or you’re finding yourself avoiding activities because you’re worried about aggravating it.
Maybe you’ve already been told you have osteoarthritis or wear and tear, but you’re unsure what you can actually do about it.
During this free 60-minute workshop, the VITAL Health team will explain knee pain and arthritis in straightforward, easy-to-understand language.
During the workshop, we’ll cover:
✅ Common reasons for knee pain and stiffness and why symptoms can differ from person to person.
✅ Understanding osteoarthritis and age-related changes, what they mean and how they may relate to your symptoms.
✅ Why certain activities can aggravate knee pain, including walking, stairs, prolonged sitting and getting up from a chair.
✅ The importance of movement, strength and mobility when managing ongoing knee problems.
✅ How persistent knee pain may be assessed and managed.
✅ Different treatment approaches including conservative care, rehabilitation and where treatments such as MBST Therapy may be considered.
✅ Practical everyday advice to help you better manage your knee and stay active.
There will also be time to ask questions at the end of the workshop.
You may find the workshop particularly useful if:
PLEASE NOTE: You don’t need to be an existing VITAL Health patient to attend.
One of the most common things we hear from people with ongoing knee problems is that they’re unsure what they should actually be doing.
Should you rest it? Keep moving? Exercise through it? Avoid certain activities? Is arthritis simply something you have to accept?
The answer isn’t always the same for everybody.
During the workshop, we’ll help you understand some of the different factors that can influence knee pain and explain the approaches that may be considered when helping someone manage a persistent knee problem.
We’ll also introduce MBST Therapy, one of the technologies available at VITAL Health, and explain where it may fit within a wider approach to managing certain joint problems.
There is no obligation to become a patient or begin treatment after attending.
The purpose of the workshop is to help you better understand knee pain, arthritis and some of the options that may be available.
Come along, listen, learn and bring your questions.
